Michael Wayne “Mike” Bell

Mr. Michael Wayne "Mike" Bell, age 68, husband of Lisa Ivester Bell of 1028 S. Jonesville Hwy., Jonesville, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at his home. Mr. Bell was born November 14, 1950 in Union, a son of the late John Bell and Ferol Sparks Bell. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sisters, Janice B. Smith of Union, Linda B. Gregory of Union, and Donna B. Peclet of Simpsonville; three stepsons, Trevor Varner of Gaffney, Eric Varner of Easley, and Rodney Varner; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two stepsons, Patrick Varner and USAF SSGT K. Jason Wilburn. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Gilead Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Eddie Saxon and Chaplin Martha Toney. Visitation will be held from 1:30 until 2:45 PM prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Gary Sinise Foundation, P.O.
