Michael Lee Pritchard, Sr.

Mr. Michael Lee Pritchard, Sr., age 72 of 143 Margie Rd., Gaffney, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Pritchard was born in Indianapolis, IN, January 10, 1948, a son of the Julia Ann Pritchard Powell. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Pritchard was drafted his first tour of Vietnam where he was injured and received a Purple Heart. He volunteered for his second tour where he was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor and another Purple Heart. He was a proud and dedicated veteran and a hard-working family man. His door was always open the anyone in need.

Surviving are a daughter, Crystal Michell Pritchard; five sons, Christopher Allen Pritchard and wife Missy, Christopher Brian Pritchard and wife Kimberly, Joshua Michael Pritchard, Michael Lee Pritchard, Jr. and Shannon Lee Pritchard; two sisters, Kimberly Scurlock and Dianna Crum; two brothers, Perry Collins and Joe Collins; and several grandchildren including, Christopher Raymond Pritchard, Derrick Allen Pritchard, Christopher Brian Pritchard, Jr., Lilly-Anna Faith Pritchard, Makela Pritchard and Zack Pritchard. Mr. Pritchard was predeceased by two brothers, Gary Collins and Chuck Collins.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran Cemetery in Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30PM Friday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.
