Michael C. Rupp

Mr. Michael Charles Rupp, age 78, husband of Sharon Lee Walter Rupp of 203 N. Mountain St., Union, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Rupp was born in Baltimore, MD, May 14, 1942, a son of the late John Charles Rupp and Mary G. Horky Rupp. He was a graduate of the University of Maryland and retired from the Social Security Administration in Baltimore. Mr. Rupp had served as a trustee on the Board for the Union Carnegie Library and was a Board member of Habitat for Humanity. He had also worked as a social worker with the Salvation Army. Mr. Rupp was an devoted member of Augsburg Lutheran Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years, Sharon, are cousins, Debra and Steve Buchanan, and Kim and Matthew "Sam" Kalb, Jr. all of Union; many dear friends including, Lisa Roberts and Pat and John Marks and his caregiver, Pamela Harmon. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Smokey Jo and JoJo.  The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Crescent Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for the care and support shown to Michael during his illness.

Due to the current health concerns, a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
