Mrs. Michelle Harmon McLain, age 54, of 203 Coleman Ave., Whitmire, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the home of her daughter.

Mrs. McLain was born April 13, 1972, in Union, a daughter of Ladenia Garland Harmon and the late Larry Harmon. She was a graduate of Whitmire High School. Mrs. McLain was a caregiver for her mother and grandchildren. She attended Healing Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her mom are three children, Betsy Cobb and husband Michael, Barak McLain and Kristin Gaffney and husband Carson all of Whitmire; seven grandchildren, Alleigh Corley, Mason Cobb, Harmon Cobb, Paityn McLain, Rhett McLain, Mila Gaffney, and Coleson Gaffney; two cousins who were more like siblings to her, Kim Hendrix and Timothy Millwood both of Whitmire; and two best friends, April Gilliam and Michelle Miller. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Christy Harmon and her maternal grandparents, Estella and Thurmond Garland.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 24, 2026, at Pine Ridge Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Kenny Weaver, Rev. Wayne Tobias, and Rev. Scott Cobb.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
