Mildred A. Batchelor

Mrs. Mildred A. Batchelor, age 78, of 516 S. Boyce St., Union, widow of William P. Batchelor, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Batchelor was born in Ringwood, NJ, September 13, 1941, a daughter of the late Sidnor and Lahoma Degroat. She retired from Disney World in Florida and was a member of Ringwood Pentecostal Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and an amazing cook. She also enjoyed crocheting and making porcelain dolls. Surviving are four sons, Richard Bernard Defreese, Nathan Lee Defreese, Bradley Milton Defreese and Ronald Defreese all of Union; a sister, Henrietta Mann, three brothers, Milton Degroat, Sidnor Degroat and Tony Degroat; grandchildren, Shannon, Genelle, Ron Jr., Natalie, Jasmine, Andrew, Cheyanne, Mariah, and Vivian and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Batchelor was predeceased by a son, Steven Degroat and siblings, Barbara Wright, Andrew Degroat, Eric Degroat and Frankie Degroat. A memorial service will be held at a later date
