Mildred Irene Sanders Crocker

December 26, 2016 Mrs. Mildred Irene Sanders Crocker, age 93, of 220 Lawson Ave., Union, widow of Albert Crocker, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Crocker was born April 19, 1923 in Bessemer, NC a daughter of the late Roy C. Sanders and Viola Barber Sanders. She retired from United Merchants after over 40 years. Mrs. Crocker was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are five daughters, Dianne Turner and husband Michael, Joan Miller and husband Bruce, Aileen C. Roberts and husband Larry, Delores Adams, and Lisa Crocker; one son, Danny R. Crocker and wife Elaine; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and beloved pets, Tom and Hop. She was predeceased by one son, Larry Keith Crocker; four sisters, Rosa Lee Black, Peggy Henderson, Hazel Crocker, and Betty Jo Sanders; one brother, Charles Ray Sanders, Sr.; and one son-in-law, J.T. Adams. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. John Lee. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Willard, Jr., Daniel Roberts, Andrew Willard, Richie Kirby, Chris Kirby and Andrew Boone. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Ave., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her daughter, Delores Adams, 348 Pasture Dr., Union.
