Millus Childers

Mr. Millus Childers, age 87, formerly of Union, widower of Mabel Florice Deal Childers, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care in Inman. Mr. Childers was born in Lockhart, May 17, 1927, a son of the late Charles Childers and Pearl Lee Watts Childers. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of Una Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Childers was a loving Christian husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are a daughter, Frances C. Adkins of Edgemoor; a daughter-in-law, Rose M. Childers of Una; two sisters, Judy Mize and Stella Mae Porter both of Lockhart; two brothers, Irvin Childers and wife Yvonne of Buffalo and James Paul Childers of Lockhart; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at Lockhart Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes.
