Mrs. Minnie Littlejohn Wix, age 82, wife of Carl Wix of 155 Lee Rd., passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at her home. Mrs. Wix was born in Spartanburg Co., June 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Gus and Ella Foster Littlejohn. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are six children, James Littlejohn, Kathy Galloway, Haley Hofmann and husband Karl, Brenda Eller and husband Arley, Betty Jean Kirby and special friend Wallace Harris and Johnny Burgess and wife Connie; two sisters, Ella Mae Parr and Daisy Ingle; a brother, Roy Littlejohn; eleven grandchildren, Ernest Kent Littlejohn, Jamie Littlejohn, Johnny Andrew Eller, Roxanne Gowan, David Haney, Brad Eller, Jessica and Johnathan Kirby, April Goins and Missy Burgess; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Wix was predeceased by two children, Ernest Kirby, Jr. and Bobby Joe Kirby, a grandchild, Michael Dean Haney, one sister, Florence Puckett and nine brothers, Lung Littlejohn, Rob Littlejohn, Frank Littlejohn, Clifford Littlejohn, Ray Puckett, Luther Puckett, Mack Puckett, Junior Puckett and Claude Puckett. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014, at New Hope Baptist Church, Buffalo, SC, conducted by Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will be at Putman Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Brad Eller, Andy Eller, Tyler Haney, David Haney, Pete Brock and Kenny Puckett. Members of Mrs. Wix's Sunday School Class of New Hope Baptist are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 8:30 PM Friday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff and nurses of Medi Home Hospice, especially Gwen and YaYa, for their care and concern for Mrs. Wix. The family will be at the home, 155 Lee Rd., Jonesville, SC.
