Mitchell Wayne Benton

July 25, 2017 Mr. Mitchell Wayne Benton, age 55 of 123 Fant St., Union, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his home. Mr. Benton was born in Cherokee Co., December 17, 1961 a son of the late Kenneth and Kathleen Painter Benton. He was a former construction worker. Surviving are two sons, Mitchell Benton of the home and Derrick Shaw Johnson and wife Casey of Union; a brother Jerry Benton and wife Rhonda of Union; a sister, Tammy Petrie of NC; a grandson, Ethan Johnson and two nieces, Makyleigh Benton and Leigh Allison. The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
