Morris "Mr. Bud" Young

Mr. Morris David "Mr. Bud" Young, age 89 of Sardis Rd., Union, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024.

Mr. Young was born in Union, July 15, 1935, a son of the late Leland C. Young and Ida Gregory Young. He was a graduate of Union High School and served in the US Army in Korea. Mr. Young worked at Smith Lumber Co. for 40 years and at Paradise Home Center for 20 years where he was still employed. He was a Hejaz Shriner, a mason with the Union Masonic Lodge #351 and a member of the Union Elks Lodge. Mr. Young was also a member of Sardis Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Rusty Young and wife Donna of Union; a granddaughter, Erica Kaye Young and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ellen Jo Cagle and Connie Neeves.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Sardis Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Jeff Farmer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Roger Bailey, Dennis Davis, Roy Puckett, Chris Stewart and Eddie Wayne Davis.
