Nancy Ruth Bright Parris

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Bright Parris, age 69, wife of James Larry Parris of 151 Pine Creek Dr., Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Parris was born May 16, 1948 in Spartanburg, SC a daughter of Lola Hill Bright and the late Leroy Bright. She was a member of New Beginnings Church of Pacolet. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two daughters, Lori Wall and husband William of Spartanburg and Becky Gregg and husband Danny of Pacolet; two sons, Larry Parris and wife Donna of Pacolet and James Ray Parris and wife Kay of Pacolet; three sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one granddaughter, Nola LaBreeska Upton; one brother, Frank Bright; and one sister, Doris Stafford. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at New Beginnings Church conducted by Pastor Lisa Parfitt. Burial will follow at Hammett's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be DJ Gregg, Douglas Upton, Matthew Parris, Buddy Parris, Joey Winzenried, and Hunter Cauthen. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at New Beginnings Church. Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Church, 480 Sunny Acres Rd., Pacolet, SC 29372. The family is at the home, 151 Pine Creek Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
