Mrs. Nancy Ann Aycock Morris Garner, wife of Larry Garner, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Garner was born in Jonesville, SC October 20, 1935, a daughter of Edmund Eison and Lula Fowler Aycock. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joe Dorin Morris, a son, John Franklin Morris, a sister, Deda Aycock Ruscitto, two brothers, Albert H. Aycock and States Rights Aycock. Mrs. Garner is survived in addition to her husband by a daughter, Joan M. Crocker and husband Paul; two sons, Joel E. Morris and wife Barbara, James C. Morris and wife Sandy; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Garner attended Jonesville area schools and graduated Jonesville High School. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee, OK. Mrs. Garner belonged to Jonesville United Methodist Church where she was a MYF Leader, Ladies Sunday School Teacher and had worked for Jonesville area schools. She retired from Milliken Packaging and had been a life guard and manager of the Jonesville Swimming Pool. Mrs. Garner was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and The United Daughters of the Confederacy. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Jonesville United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Jim Ivey. Burial will be in Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Garner's grandchildren will serve as active pallbearers Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Monday evening at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville, SC 29353. Memorials may be made to Jonesville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 787, Jonesville, SC 29353 or to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home, 1381 Gaffney, Jonesville.
