Nancy Brannon Hope

October 5, 1938 — April 8, 2014

Mrs. Nancy Brannon Hope, age 75, wife of David Lee Hope of 115 Lovers Hill Rd., Union, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her home in Lockhart. Mrs. Hope was born in Union, October 5, 1938, a daughter of the late Grady Brannon, Sr. and Nellie Rochester Brannon. She worked for many years as a CNA with Wallace Thomson Hospital and was a member of Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir. Mrs. Hope also enjoyed to go shopping. She is survived by two granddaughters, Selissa C. Melton of Lockhart and Nancy Harrison of Union; six great-grandchildren: Brandon Lee Parker, Gavyn Cade Gregory, Drew Harrison, Caleb Harrison, Justin Harrison and Aria Leigh Stewart; four sisters, Tincy Inman, Guynita Brannon and Carolyn B. Rash all of Lockhart and Brenda B. Petty of Louisiana; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hope was predeceased by a daughter, Cherri Ann Hope, five brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brian Bishop, Rev. Tommy Hope and Rev. Sam Baines. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Lonnie Wilbanks, Alan Horton, Rodney Inman, Dale Inman, Bubba Inman, Chris Brannon. Members of the Mother's Sunday School Class #1 and member of the Choir of Lockhart Free Will are asked to sit in a group. Mrs. Hope will be carried to her home, 116 South 6th St., Lockhart, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening. Memorials may be made to Lockhart Free Will Baptist Church, 126 Askew Circle, Union, SC 29379.
