Nancy Gail Ponder Lowder Evans of 3117 River View Dr., Mesquite, TX was called to her heavenly home surrounded by her family at the hospice home of Mesquite, TX at 11:38 AM, Friday, February 8, 2015. Nancy was born on July 8, 1955 in Union, SC and there is where she lived until moving to Mesquite, TX at the age of 18. She was the daughter of the late Max F. Ponder and Betty Jean Sprouse Ponder. Nancy graduated Union High School in 1973. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Philip Wayne Evans, of the home; two daughters, Shannon L. Burnnett (Jason) and Michelle Lowder all of Mesquite; two beautiful granddaughters, Lanie and Lissa Burnnett, all of Mesquite; and her grand-dog, Charlie; three brothers, Maxie Ponder (Darnell) of Buffalo, SC, Edward Eugene Ponder, and Mark Stanley Ponder; her nieces, Angela P. Fowler (Donnie), Tracy Bevis, and Kacie L Tucker (Shane); her nephews, Chad Ponder (Sherei), Scott Turner (Tonya), Billy Ponder (Ginnie), and Daniel Ponder. Nancy was predeceased by a brother, James Martin Ponder and sister Anna Lisa Ponder Lawson. Nancy had a lot of relatives that live in Union including, two aunts and a lot of cousins. Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home in Sunny Vale, TX by the Dr. Dennis Hochgraber and Shannon L. Burnnett. The family received friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Burial was held at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, TX. New Hope Funeral Home in Sunny Vale, TX had charge of the services.
