Mrs. Nellie Loree Boulware Lawson, of Buffalo, widow of William R. Lawson, passed away Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Lawson was born in Winnsboro, on June 26, 1931 a daughter of the late Belton and Lula Fee Boulware. She was retired from United Merchants. Mrs. Lawson was a devoted wife and mother. Surviving are one daughter, Carol Boulware Moore and fiancée Donnie Kirby of the home; two sons, Ricky Boulware of the home and Butch Lawson and wife Terry of Chester; one granddaughter, Daniell Pruitt and husband Jason of Spartanburg; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pruitt and Damon Kerbein both of Spartanburg; one brother, Thomas F. Boulware and wife Frances; three special nieces, Lorene Vinson and fiancée Charles Whittemore, Irene Abrams and fiancée Delano Thomas, and Alley Boulware all of Buffalo; a special friend, Susan Pruitt of Spartanburg; a number of nieces and nephews and two beloved pets Bouser and Blossum. She was predeceased by four brothers, Curtis Boulware, BJ Boulware, Vernon Boulware, and Paul Boulware and five sisters, Daisy Haney, Kathleen Eller, Ruby Vinson, Nancy Boulware, and Edith Franklin. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. Johnny Burgess. Burial will follow in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Haywood Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home,134 Westville St., Buffalo, SC 29321.
