Norma H. Hawkins

Mrs. Norma Harvey Hawkins, age 73, wife of Benjamin Gary Hawkins, of 1727 Mudbridge Rd., Jonesville, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Hawkins was born January 23, 1949 in Union, a daughter of the late John Eddie Harvey and Thelma Martin Harvey.  She was a 1966 graduate of Jonesville High School and received her Nursing Degree from Spartanburg General Hospital.  Mrs. Hawkins retired after 51 years from the Offices of Doctors Hope, Hames, and Keith.  She was an active member of West Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the West Spring Baptist Church Mission Team and was a member of the choir.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Annette H. Heatherly and husband Mark of Jonesville and Amy H. Truitt and husband Mark of Jonesville; two sisters, Lynda Bennett and husband Larry of Jonesville and Sandra Owen of Old Fort, NC; a brother, Daniel Eddie Harvey of Jonesville; six grandchildren, Brandon Heatherly and wife Savannah, Tyler Heatherly, Madyson Truitt and fiancée Seth Hall, Hannah Heatherly, Katelyn Truitt, and Mia Heatherly; and one great-grandson, Brayden Heatherly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at West Springs Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Greg Black and Rev. Mark Truitt.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Stephen Owen, Richard Bennett, Kevin Bennett, Michael Bennett, David Taylor, and Eddie Williamson, Joel Taylor and Jared Taylor.

Visitation will be held in the Family Life Center immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church, C/O the Mission Team Fund, 4811 Buffalo West Springs Highway, Pauline, SC 29374.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Annette and Mark Heatherly, 1689 Mudbridge Rd., Jonesville, SC 29353.
