June 2, 2017 Mrs. Norma Kingsmore Henderson, age 70, of 804 Riley Rd., Buffalo, widow of Ronald A. Henderson passed away, Thursday, June 1, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Henderson was born in Buffalo, SC a daughter of the late Harold and Betty Lancaster. She was a graduate of Union High School and Kings College in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Henderson was retired from Torrington & Company and following her retirement she worked at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Henderson was loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Surviving are one son, David Henderson of Buffalo; two daughters, Amy Gunter and husband Michael of Lexington and Emily Ryan and husband Jason of Myrtle Beach; one brother, Jimmy Kingsmore and wife Rozzie of Buffalo; two sisters, Nancy Long and husband Mack of Buffalo and Lou Ann Medford and husband Barry of Union; one aunt, Patsy Johnson of Jonesville; one sister-in-law, Faye Henderson Moss of Kennesaw, GA; one brother-in-law, Ken Henderson of Union; six grandchildren, Bethany Henderson, Tyler Gunter, Ethan Gunter, Jacob Gunter, Alexa Ryan, and Elias Ryan; and numerous nieces and nephews including a special great niece, Olivia Long. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will follow at West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Kevin Kingsmore, Kevin Henderson, Kenneth Dale Henderson, Michael Long, Matthew Long, Doug Johnson and Bruce Betenbaugh. The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, Joe and Phyllis Haney, Sherry Fisher, Jan Wells, Pat Long, and the Staff and Nurses of Medi Home Hospice. Visitation will be held 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Buffalo Baptist Church, PO Box 428, Buffalo, SC 29321. The family will be at the home, 804 Riley Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321.
