Norma Jean Mccloud Burgess

Mrs. Norma Jean McCloud Burgess, age 60, wife of Paul H. Burgess, Jr., of 165 Woodside Dr., Union, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Burgess was born November 8, 1957 in Union a daughter of the late D. A. McCloud and Gladys Vanderford McCloud. She was a graduate of Lockhart High School and was employed with Wal-Mart of Union. Mrs. Burgess was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Candace Brooke Wilkie and husband Chris of Union; son, Paul H. "Trey" Burgess, III and fiancée Amber Robinson of Boiling Springs; one sister, JoAnne Walker of Lockhart; one brother Rick McCloud and wife Shirley of Union; and three grandchildren, Karsyn Burgess, Kole Burgess, and Braelyn Wilkie. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, June 8, 2018 at Philippi Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Brad Goodale. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rick McCloud, Jr., Lemond Vanderford, Clint Smallwood, Michael Bentley, Jimbo McCloud, and Roger Vanderford. The following are asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort, Celeste Goode West, Aileen Ashe, and past and present employees of Wal-Mart of Union. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
