Norman Lee Emler

July 2, 2016 Mr. Norman Lee "Pop" Emler, age 82 of 3609 Lockhart Hwy., Union passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at his home. Mr. Emler was born in Kirkland, WA, August 25, 1933, a son of the late Harry Wilber Emler and Pearl Miller Emler. He was formerly employed in the logging industry and was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Korean War. Mr. Emler was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by five children and his adopted family with whom he made his home in Union, Rhonda and Jimmy Gregory and their sons, Tyler, Colby, Brett and Owen, who he treated as his own grandsons. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. John Lee. The family will receive friends following the services at the church. Memorials may be made to the Brown's Creek Baptist Church, Family Life Center, 118 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 3609 Lockhart Hwy., Union.
