Ola Bobo Cabaniss

February 13, 2017 Mrs. Ola Bobo Cabaniss, age 97, widow of Alvin Davis Cabaniss, formerly of Carter Street, Union, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Cabaniss was born in Union County, SC July 14, 1919, a daughter of the late Ben Hix Bobo and Pauline McCravey Bobo. She retired from Conso Products and was formerly employed with Milliken & Company. Mrs. Cabanisss was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church where she was active as long as her health permitted. She truly epitomized a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Cabaniss was the last surviving member of eight children. Surviving are two daughters: Beth Cabaniss Wix and husband Larry of Peachtree City, GA and Faye Cabaniss Bainbridge of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren: Lori Wix Milliken and husband David, Michael Pearson and wife Brittnany, Cellin Pearson and Whitney Pearson Lengstorf and seven great-grandchildren: Parker, Preston and Davis Milliken, Trey and Davis Pearson, Peyton Reynolds and Jackson Lengstorf. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Benny Green. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday evening at SR Holcombe Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mon Aetna Baptist Church, 1431 Lockhart Hwy, Union, SC 29379.
