Oliver Thomas Eaves

Mr. Oliver Thomas Eaves, age 82 of 174 Ellis Street, Union, widower of Mable Redmon Eaves, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018 at Heartland of Union. Mr. Eaves was born in Union, SC June 4, 1935, a son of the late Douglas Eaves and Pearl Carter Eaves. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired in textiles from Rosemont Plant. Mr. Eaves was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church as long as his health permitted. He was most proud to be a member of the Mission Team where they traveled to build churches in several different countries. Mr. Eaves was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are a daughter, Robin Eaves Austin; a granddaughter, Keena Austin Fowler; a grandson-in-law, Richard Scott Fowler; two great-grandsons: Richard Chase Fowler and Oliver Wyatt Fowler all of Union. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2018 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Bob Cato. Visitation will be held at the graveside following the service. Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 763 Neal Shoals Rd., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 174 Ellis Street, Union.
