Oliver Clay “O.C.” Brown

Mr. Oliver Clay "O.C." Brown, age 91, of 180 Anderson Ave., Pacolet, SC, widow of Faye "Bryant" Howell Brown passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his home. Mr. Brown was born in Spartanburg, SC a son of the late Graham Brown and Elizabeth Brown. He retired as a Supervisor from Milliken & Co. and was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II. Mr. Brown was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church. He was first married to the late, Lillie Belle Brown. Surviving are one daughter, Lynn Byars and husband Rick of Pacolet; one son, Allen Brown and wife Ruth Ann of Pacolet; one sister Bobby Jean Belue and husband Harvey of Union; a special friend Mildred Womack; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Pacolet Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Dennis Tessnier. Visitation will be held after the services at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oliver "O.C." Clay Brown Fund, P.O. Box 293, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home, 180 Anderson Ave., Pacolet, SC 29372.
