Olivia Brite Chavis

Ms. Olivia Brite Chavis, age 33, of 114 Spencer Rd., Jonesville, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Olivia was born in Spartanburg, October 8, 1990, a daughter of Billie Fowler Morgan of Duncan and Rowlen H. Chavis, Jr. of Jonesville. She was a 2009 graduate of Union High School and studied cosmetology at Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. She was employed at the Pauline Café and also with "Simply the Best" catering. Olivia was a member of Jonesville Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother and niece.

Surviving in addition to her mother and father are a daughter Maveric Sweat; a son, Slade Lawson; her step-father, Charles Morgan; her paternal grandmother, Sandra Fowler of Jonesville; three aunts, Tonya Holmes and husband Terry of Jonesville, Andrea Smith and husband Eddie of Union and Rhonda Herring of Spartanburg, and an uncle, Joseph H Chavis and wife Michelle of Spartanburg. She is also survived by her long time companion and Slade's father, Justin Lawson and his family, Kathy and Ira Lawson of Pauline and his daughters Kayleigh and Kaitlyn Lawson. Also surviving are several close cousins, including, Hillary S. Crawford and husband Jay, Jordan Holmes, Conley Holmes and wife Anna, and Bryce Holmes. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Rowlen H. Chavis, Sr., her maternal grandparents, James and Helen Fowler and an uncle, Daryl Herring.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Scott Cannon.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel, 145 Hames Ave., Jonesville.

Active pallbearers will be Bryce Holmes, Conley Holmes, Christopher Crocker, Terry Holmes, Eddie Smith and Jason Lewis.

The family is at the home of her grandmother, Sandra Fowler, 114 Spencer Rd., Jonesville.
