Mrs. Ollie Mae Arthur Vinson, age 97, of 556 Brown's Creek Rd., Union, widow of James H. "Jake" Vinson, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Mrs. Vinson was born in Union, January 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Voyd Falls Arthur and Clara Harrison Arthur. She retired after 42 years from Milliken and Co., Monarch Plant and was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church where she served on the Bereavement Committee.

Surviving are a daughter, Clara V. Steen and husband Bill of Greenville; a son, Jimmy Vinson and wife Sandra of Union; a special family member, Sherry Fisher; grandchildren, Shayla Durst and husband Tod of Wilmington, NC, Dana Glenn and husband Scott of Greenville, Brook Henderson and husband Kevin, Stephanie Duncan and husband Ray, and Michael Vinson all of Union; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Vinson was predeceased by a son, Ralph "Tommy" Vinson.

The family wishes to say a special Thank You to the staff and nurses of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Care and the Hospice Home, Angie Mitchell, Sandra Nance and Diane Brock for the care and concern shown to Mrs. Vinson and her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Shawn Head and Chaplain Andrew Fisher. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Curtis Plexico, Ben Ivey, Gene Berry, Wayne Vinson, Robin Duckett and Ricky Arthur.

The family will be at their respective homes.
