Patra E. Ford

Patra Edge Ford, 86, widow of Rev. Jerry Ford and formerly of Union, SC, passed away August 9, 2025. Patra was born August 27,1938 in Pacolet, SC, a daughter of the late Troy and Nora Bessie Edge. She worked as a kindergarten assistant for over thirty years in Lockhart, Lancaster, Gaffney, and Union. She also served alongside her husband, Rev. Ford, during their ministry at several churches in South Carolina and Ohio.

She is survived by her four children: Debbie (Alan) Cromer and their children, Graham (Nikki) Cromer and Meredith (Alex) Derry; Janet (Tommy) Bobo and their children, Jace (Charity) Bobo and Megan (Todd) White; Susan (Mike) Sager and their children, Blake Sager, Brooke Sager, and Devan Sager; and Steve (Amy) Ford and their children, MariCate Ford and Elisabeth Ford. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, a sister, Pam Easler, a sister-in-law, Elaine Edge, and many special nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Patra was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill Edge, Roy Edge, Hugh Edge, and Clyde Edge.

Patra's family wishes to express sincere and heartfelt thanks to Patra's caretaker Jessica (who also provided excellent care to Jerry as well).  Also, the family is grateful to the hospice nurses for their dedication and support for Patra.

There will be a private service held for the family.

Members of Patra's family will be at their respective homes.
