Our loving mother and Nannie, Patricia "Pat" Estelle Eubanks Hollingsworth, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2021. Pat was born in 1934 and was the daughter of Fred and Mary Lou Cabiness Eubanks. She was a graduate of Union High School and went to work shortly after at Carlisle Finishing Company until her retirement.
Pat was married to the love of her life, Henry "Tank" Hollingsworth for 62 years, and they spent their lives together loving their 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Pat was a charter member of Morningside Baptist Church where she faithfully served on the bereavement, fellowship, and flower committees, sang in the choir, and served at VBS. She always had a special treat in her purse for the children of the church. Pat was a wonderful cook and spent many hours in the kitchen using her gifts to bless others. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, painting ceramics, and tending to her prize winning Roses and African Violets. Her favorite thing to do was spend time making memories with her family, especially her great-grandbabies. She adored them and they adored her more!
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Toni Hollingsworth, sons Tim (Peggy) Hollingsworth and Terry (Rhonda) Hollingsworth; granddaughters Jaime (Jeff) Strickland, Brooke (Chris) Boulware, Brianne (Scott) Sanders, & Kelly (Shaun) Watson; her pride and joy, her great-grandchildren Aidan Strickland, Ella & McKinley Sanders, and Sawyer and Hadley Watson; two loving sisters, Sylvia (Alvin) Robinson and Gloria Pierce, a sweet sister-in-law, Judy (John) Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was predeceased by three brothers, James, Harold, and Paul Eubanks.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 7th at 3:00 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andrew Austin and Dr. Aubrey Calvert. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary before the service from 2:00-3:00.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Strickland, Aidan Strickland, Scott Sanders, Chris Boulware, Shaun Watson, Randy Morrison and Frank Morrison. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Morningside, the ladies Sunday School class, and her Friday morning beauty shop friends.
Memorials can be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Avenue, Union, SC 29379.
The family is at the home, 850 Beltline Rd., Union, SC 29379.
