Patricia James

October 10, 2018 Ms. Patricia James, age 84, of 304 Johns St., Union, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Heartland of Union. Ms. James was born April 9, 1934 in Union, a daughter of the late Howard J. James and Viola Mosley James. She was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Milliken & Co.-Monarch Plant. Ms. James was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three nieces, Tammy Keen, Kay Taylor, and Barbara Laird; one brother-in-law, Bobby W. Petty, Sr.; and two special cousins who were her cargivers, Janet Nash and Rosanelle Adams. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Laticia Petty and a nephew, Bobby W. Petty, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2018 at Mon Aetna Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Chris Gulledge and Chaplain Michael Thomas. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Carl Laird, James Keen, Aubrey Adams, Carrol Alexander, Sr., David Jenkins, Bryson Alexander and Randall Liner. The Connie Springs Sunday School Class is asked to sit in a group and form the honorary escort. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church. Memorials may be made to Mon Aetna Baptist Church, C/O Building Fund, 1431 Lockhart Highway, Union, SC 29379. The family is at the home of her cousin, Janet Nash, 222 Mill St., Union, SC 29379.
