Patricia Pauline James Watkins

Mrs. Patricia Pauline James Watkins, age 74 of 114 Union Lane, Lockhart, widow of Raymond D. Watkins, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Watkins was born in Union, SC on July 20, 1941 a daughter of the late Ashley Fred James and Janie Patrick James. She was a member of Lockhart First Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Janie Puckett Tarbox and husband James of Newberry; four sons, Larry Puckett and wife Melony of Rockwill, NC, Freddie Puckett of Columbia, SC, Rodney Boone and wife Kim of Concord, NC, and Jeffery Boone and wife Nancy of Clover, SC; five stepchildren, Patricia Owensby of Greer, Carolyn Coleman of Fort Mill, Loreene Boone of Concord, NC, Linda Stubbs of Lincolnton, NC, and Pam Brown of Bellmont, NC; two brothers, Ardell James of Canton, NC and Ronnie James of Cross Keys; one sister Linda Gibson of York; thirty-seven grandchildren; forty-nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one stepson, Raymond Clyde Watkins and one stepdaughter, Dale Glaze. Graveside services will be held 12:30 PM Friday, May 13, 2016 at Lockhart Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Rodney Boone. Mrs. Watkins grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers. Visitation will be held following the services at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. The family is at the home of Ronnie James, 123 Country Road Extension, Union, SC 29379.
