Patsy C. Jones

Mrs. Patsy Coons Jones, age 74, wife of Robert Jones of 482 Edwards Rd., Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mrs. Jones was born in Barron, Kentucky, August 11, 1948, a daughter of the late Earl and Beatrice Dotson Coons. She was retired from Startex Mill and was a member of Leeds Baptist Church in Chester.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a two daughters, Charolette Hollifield and friend, James Gosey of Spartanburg, and Tonya Bailey and husband Philip of Union; a son, Robert Jones and friend, Cassie Humphries of Union; two brothers, Roger Coons and wife Marsha, and Rickey Coons and wife Linda all of Indiana; and two sisters, Earline Emmert of Tennessee and Cheryal Brewster of Iowa. He is survived by six grandchildren, Jessica Hollifield, Jonathan Bailey, Robert N. Jones, Dustin Jones, Gage Jones and Braeden Jones, and three great-grandchildren, Samuel Bailey, Adelyn Bailey and Hazel Grace Hollifield. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mason Jones, three sisters, Jean Brooks, Brenda Coons and Naomi Coons and a brother, Ellis Merl Coons.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Leeds Baptist Church conducted by Rev. William Thomas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Philip Bailey and Mrs. Jones' grandsons.

The family will be at the home, 482 Edwards Rd., Carlisle.
