Mr. Paul Kent Garner, age 72, husband of Doris Lawson Garner, of 1906 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, passed away, Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Garner was born May 8, 1949, in Union, a son of the late Walter Mace Garner and Katie Palmer Garner.  He was graduate of Jonesville High School.  Mr. Garner retired after 45 years from the Union County School Bus Maintenance Shop as a Mechanic and had previously worked at Ivey Furniture.  He was a lifelong member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kim Price and husband Keith of Buffalo and Kelly Wynn and husband Dale of Union; two sons David Garner of Union and Kevin Garner and wife Brandy of Union; three sisters, Brenda Latham and husband Jack of Greenwood, Jennie Lemons and husband Rev. Dr. Steve, and Shirley Harris and husband P.D.; fifteen grandchildren, Carley Garner, Corey Garner, Morgan Peace, Andrew Peace, Natalie Garner, Chase Heatherly, Kaleb Garner, Colton Wynn, Alaysa Wynn, Logan Wynn, Maddie Manibusan, Dakota Bailey, Kevin Crosby, Josh Price, and Matt Price; and two great-grandchildren, Mason Garner and Liam Garner.

Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at the home of his sister, Shirley Harris, 1809 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union conducted by Mr. Chad Ponder and Rev. Dr. Steve A. Lemons. A private burial will be held at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the services at the home of his sister, Shirley Harris, 1809 Brown's Creek Church Rd., Union, SC 29379.

The family request those in attendance to please follow COVID-19 protocols by wearing a mask and social distancing.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

The family is at their respective homes.
