Paul Douglas Mitchell

Mr. Paul Douglas "P.D." Mitchell, Jr., age 57 of 628 Gaffney Hwy., Jonesville, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Mitchell was born in Union, April 19, 1966, a son of the late Paul Douglas Mitchell, Sr. and Judith Ann Gardin Mitchell. He was a graduate of Union High School and retired from Steris in Spartanburg. Mr. Mitchell was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a sister, Tangela M. Brown and husband Stanley of Spartanburg and his beloved dog and companion, Buddy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins including a special aunt, Charlene Dimsdale of Jonesville and cousin, Avah Yarbrough. He was predeceased by a brother, Donnie Wayne "Beaver" Mitchell.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2023 at Holcombe's Jonesville Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Saturday at the chapel prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Animal Shelter, c/o Union County Supervisor's Office, 210 West Main St., Union, SC 29379.

The family will be at the home of his aunt, Charlene Dimsdale, 657 Gaffney Hwy., Jonesville, SC 29353.
