Paul W. Sherfield

August 30, 2017 Mr. Paul William Sherfield, age 89, of 610 Mudbridge Rd., Union, SC. widower of Mary Frances Sherfield passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at his home. Mr. Sherfield was born September 3, 1927 in Union, SC a son of the late Will Sherfield and Helen Nance Sherfield. He was a member of West Springs Baptist Church and retired from United Merchants-Buffalo plant. Mr. Sherfield also was a farmer. Surviving is two daughters, Judy Bobo and husband Ray of the home and Jean Horne and husband Kenneth of Union; a sister, Louise Fincher of Buffalo; a sister-in-law, Shirley Heatherly of Union; three grandchildren, Chris Bobo, Nikki Walls and Michelle Crocker of SC.; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Mr. Sherfield was predeceased by one son, Ted William Sherfield, three sisters, Lucille Calhoun, Violet Lawson and Peggy Bogan and three brothers, Bud, Bill and Bob Sherfield. Graveside services will be held 5:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at West Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Greg Black and Rev. Glenn Ribelin. Visitation will be held immediately following the graveside services. Memorials may be made to West Springs Baptist Church, 4811 Buffalo-West Spring Hwy., Pauline, SC 29374. The family is at the home, 610 Mudbridge Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321.
