Paul Jerry Whitehead, Sr.

Mr. Paul Jerry Whitehead, Sr., age 69, widower of Judy Ellen Sizemore Whitehead of 202 Mill St., Union, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Mr. Whitehead was born in Union, January 2, 1952, a son of the late Ernest Eugene Whitehead, Sr. and Mason Greer Whitehead. He retired from Cone Mill, Carlisle Finishing and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Marlene W. Rhinehart of Union; two sons, Tim Sizemore and wife Gloria of Buffalo and Paul Jerry Whitehead, Jr. of Union, and a brother, Howard Whitehead of Union. Mr. Whitehead was also survived by grandchildren, Jeri Lynn Whitehead, reared in the home, Whitney Smith (Phillip), Brooke Raines (Jacob), Chastity Rhinehart (Cory), Jordan Bradley (Jesse), Dusty Rhinehart (Stephanie), Kayla Whitehead (Tim), Macy Whitehead and great-grandchildren, Payton, D.J., Haisleigh, Makenlee, Isabella, Caleb, Mallory, Emma, Eli, Vaida, Hallee, Laila, Bryson, Kennedy, Jazmyn, Jonathon, and Cheianne. Mr. Whitehead was predeceased by five brothers, two sisters, a daughter-in-law, Sherry Sizemore and a son-in-law, James Rhinehart.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2021, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Minister Edward Freeman. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Jacob Raines, Phillip Smith, Jesse Bradley, Tyler Gibson, Thomas Gugliucci, Timmy Gore, Dusty Rhinehart and Lee Wilburn.

The family will be at the home of his grandson, Dusty and Stephanie Rhinehart, 401 Monarch Hwy., Union.
