September 10, 2016 Mr. Paul Dean Williford, age 75, husband of Margaret Dawkins Williford of 113 Osborne St., Monarch, passed away, September 9, 2016 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center of natural causes. Mr. Williford was born in Union, October 8, 1940, a son of the late Paul Williford and Christine Williford Bradford. He was an all sport athlete at Union High School and after graduation attended Clemson University. Mr. Williford was a retired electrician and owner of Williford Electric. He was an active member of Morningside Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and was also a former Mason. Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, Camela Williford Jordan and husband Foster of Chapin, Darlene Ivey Frank of Union, Priscilla Ivey Craig and husband Ronnie and Lisa Ivey Duncan all of Clinton, a foster daughter, Taylor Sumner of Union; three sons, Paul Dean Benton and Robin Benton both of Greenville and Russell Todd Williford and wife Cathy of Union; a sister, Lisa Funderburk and husband Darrell of Rock Hill; a brother, S.W. Williford and wife Joan of Hickory, NC; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mr. Williford was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Candler. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Morningside Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Aubrey Calvert and his cousin, Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be sons, and grandsons: Russell Williford, Nathan Williford, Kevin Frank, Jay Ivey, Dean Benton, Christopher Jordan, Blake Bright and Nick Monroe. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ken Henderson, Colon Duckett, Reese O'Dell, Barry O'Dell, Cecil Brown, Billy Lawson, Wayne Hutcherson, Janzen Childers, Raymond Addis, Bruce Whistnant, David Hart and Kendall Austin. Members of the Adult #1 Sunday School Class are asked to sit in a group. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the church prior to the services. Memorials may be made to Morningside Baptist Church, 112 Bates Ave., Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home, 113 Osborne St., Union (Monarch community).
