Pearl Adams Farr

Mrs. Pearl Adams Farr, age 97, of 2519 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at the Union Medical Center. She was the widow after 66 years of marriage to James C. Farr.

Mrs. Farr was born in Union, September 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Robert Smith Adams and Thelma Lawson Adams. She was retired from USC-Union as a Librarian and had worked for 30 years with Milliken and Co. Mrs. Farr was a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir and had served as Sunday School Administrator, Church Secretary and on the Hostess Committee. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Farr is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Adams and a large number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, December 20, 2021 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Monday at the church prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Tommy Ford, Rev. Lynn Ford, Johnny Inman, Robert Adams, Steve Crocker, Perry Crocker and Gary Harris.

The following are asked to sit in a group, members of the Mt. Joy Baptist Church Choir, Ned and Mary "C" Bell, Evelyn Alman, Helen Ivey and Margie Hyatt.
