Pearl S. Kirby

February 1, 2016 Mrs. Pearl Smith Kirby age 86, of 100 Hidden Hill Rd., Union, widow of Harold W. Kirby, Sr., passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Heartland of Union. Mrs. Kirby was born in Union, October 31, 1929. She was a 1947 graduate of Union High School and was Valedictorian of her class. Mrs. Kirby retired as the Clerk of Court for Union Co. and had worked in that office for 36 years. She was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Harold Wilson Kirby, Jr. of the home and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kirby was predeceased by a daughter, Virginia Elizabeth "Beth" Kirby. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Benny Green. Visitation will be held after the services at the graveside. Memorials may be made to Mon Aetna Baptist Church, 1431 Lockhart Hwy., Union, SC 29379.
