Mrs. Peggy Joyce Millwood Bright, age 82, of 124 Osborne St., Union, widow of Harrell S. Bright, Sr., passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her home.

Mrs. Bright was born in Chester, March 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Daisy Millwood Duckett. She was retired from United Merchants, Union Plant. Mrs. Bright was a faithful member of Oakland Road Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, choir member and had served as church treasurer. She loved her savior Jesus Christ and her family.

Surviving are two daughter, Donna Stewart and husband Chris, and Lucy Bright Gray all of Union; two sons, Harrell "Bug" Bright, Jr. and Bobby Bright both of Union; a sister, Linda Vaughn and husband Ricky of Greensboro, NC; two grandsons, Blake Bright and Allen Bright; and three granddaughters, Erica Young, Samantha Williams and husband Jake and Ashley Bright.  She is also survived by great grandchildren, Alyah Wilson, Blakely Bright, Tinslee Bright, L.J. Wilson, Rylan Bright and Mason Bright; a number of nieces and nephews and her fur babies, Itty Bitty and Panzy Joyce. She was predeceased by sisters, Barbara Roark, Monica Quinn, Debra Whitlock, and Patti Jackson and a brother, Steven Millwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Joseph Ballard. Burial will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the chapel prior to the services.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Stewart, Rusty Young, Jake Williams, Blake Bright, Allen Bright, Brent Phillips and Jamie Whitlock.

The family will be at the home, 124 Osborne St., Union.
