Peggy Addis Burgess

December 9, 2016 Mrs. Peggy Addis Burgess, age 82, formerly of Jonesville, widow of Clyde Burgess passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Monck's Corner Medical Center. Mrs. Burgess was born in Jonesville, SC March 1, 1934 a daughter of the late Ernest Addis and Genevieve Belue Addis. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and was a lifelong member of Jonesville Baptist Church. Mrs. Burgess was retired from the Union County News and had previously worked at the Union Daily Times. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Gunter and husband Rick of Charleston; one granddaughter, Noelle Molnar and husband Stevie of Albany, GA; one grandson, Gabriel Gunter of Charleston; two great-grandsons, Stephen and Camden Molnar of Albany, GA. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Jonesville Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Ralph Brown. Burial will follow at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Steven Addis, Jeff Addis, Donald Addis, Jeff Tweed, Barry Tweed, and Greg Fowler The family will return to Jonesville Baptist Church for visitation immediately following the graveside services.
