Peggy Joann (Price) Rector

Mrs. Peggy JoAnn Price Rector, 88, the widow of Bobby G. Rector, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Mrs. Peggy was the daughter of the late Roy Price and Elsie Stepp Price. She and Mr. Bobby were married 68 years before his passing in 2023. Mrs. Peggy was the most selfless, kind-hearted woman – a true example of grace, strength, and unconditional. She spent her life caring for others and giving generously, never asking for anything in return. Mrs. Peggy's warmth and compassion touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a Christian woman who loved her family, sewing, bird watching and flowers. Her presence was a source of comfort, and her home was always a place of welcome and peace.

Mrs. Peggy was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her sons, Tommy Rector and wife Cheryl of Wilmington, NC and Eric Rector and wife Nancy of Summerville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a sister, Judy Sherfield of Union. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Peggy was predeceased by her brothers, Carl Price and Kenneth Price, a sister, Sadie Jolly, and two sons, Dennis Rector and Roger Rector.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. David Rector. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00AM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Union Memorial Gardens.
