Peggy J. Roberts

Mrs. Peggy Johnson Roberts, age 88, of 694 Bobby Faucette Rd., Jonesville, widow of Julian "Doodlebug" Lipscombe Roberts, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the home of her son.

Mrs. Roberts was born in Union, April 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Leroy Johnson and Ophelia Mathis Johnson. She retired from Milliken Company having last worked for almost 18 years at the Monarch plant. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Katrina Moulder and husband Jerry of Fountain Inn; two sons, Larry Roberts and wife Aileen of Union and Frank Roberts and wife Debra of Jonesville. Surviving grandchildren are Dawn Roberts, Brandy R Whisnant (David), Deanne Roberts, Daniel Roberts, Lee Brannon (Michelle), Chris Brannon (Nikki) Jason Brannon, Henry Moulder (Heather), Shawn Moulder and Savannah Hill. Mrs. Roberts was also survived by 12 great- grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter and son in law, Patricia and Clifton Brannon. She was predeceased by sisters, Betty Lipsey, Ellen Johnson, Jennie Lee Vanderford and a brother Leroy Hope Johnson.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Shawn Head. Visitation will follow the service.
