Peggy A Smith

Mrs. Peggy A. Smith, age 67, wife of Gene Rector, of 270 Oakland Rd., Union, passed away, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Union Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born November 29, 1953 in Union, a daughter of the late Wilson Smith and Myrtle Greer Smith.  She was a graduate of Union High School and USC Union.  Mrs. Smith had worked at Gulf Oil Company in Augusta, GA.  She was a member of Lower Fairforest Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a brother-in-law, John West of Union; a cousin, Donna Knox of Jonesville; a sister-in-law, June Smith of Union; and a number of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Rev. Joe Smith and Bobby Smith and a sister, Helen West.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
