Phillip S. Miller

Mr. Phillip Saye Miller, age 76, of 3867 Jonesville-Lockhart Hwy., Union, widower of Margie Slack Miller, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home. Mr. Miller was born in Hartsville, SC, June 17, 1942, a son of the late James Samuel Miller and Ora Worley Miller. He was a retired textile worker and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Chester. Mr. Miller was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving are a daughter, Leann Gregory and husband Richard of Chester; two sons, Billy Branch of the home and James "Jimmy" Miller and wife Dee of Union; two granddaughters, Lee Elrod of Lockhart and Ariel Gregory of Chester; two grandsons, Austen Miller of Union and Colt Gregory of Chester; three great-grandchildren and a special friend Betty Jean Stepp of Lockhart. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at First Free Will Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jimmy Sanders. Burial will be at Lockhart Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at First Free Will Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, Building Fund, 790 Hawthorne Rd., Chester, SC, 29706. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Leann and Richard Gregory, 3036 Fishing Creek Rd., Rock Hill, SC.
