Phillip H. Sprouse

Mr. Phillip Henry Sprouse, age 60, husband of Beth Putnam Sprouse, of 500 Hart St., Union, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Union Medical Center.

Mr. Sprouse was born in Union, February 6, 1962, a son of Francis C. Sprouse of Union and the late Lena Faye Sprouse Sprouse.  He was a graduate of Union High School and attended Spartanburg Technical College.  Mr. Sprouse was employed as Bailiff at the Union County Court House and had previously worked at the Union County Sheriff's Office and Union County Communications—911 Dispatch.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father, are two sons, Eric Sprouse and fiancée Skylar Hartley of Union and Justin Sprouse of the home; a sister, Debbie Brown and husband Wayne of Gaffney; a brother, Ricky Sprouse of Union; two grandchildren, Delilah Sprouse and Brayden Sprouse; two nephews, Elton Sprouse and wife Valerie and Wayne Brown, Jr. and wife Beth; two nieces, Mia Sprouse Smith and husband Joseph and Kacie Brown; two special cousins, Myra Heatherly and Tony Hopper.  He was predeceased by his in-laws, Richard and Lucy Putnam; a sister-in-law, Susan Putnam Justice; a nephew, Adam Horne; and a special aunt, Billie Jean "Big Mama".

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Jarvis.

Visitation will be held immediately following the services at the chapel.

The family will be at the home, 500 Hart St., Union.
