Rachel (Morrow) Crawford

Mrs. Rachel Morrow Crawford, age 85, previously of 101 Crawford Rd., Union, widow of Raymond Crawford, passed away, September 1, 2024 at ProMedica of Union.

Mrs. Crawford was born October 25, 1938, in Union, a daughter of the late James Aaron Morrow and Zala Massey Morrow.  She was a 1957 graduate of Union High School and retired after 40 years from Lockhart Power Accounts Department and had also worked alongside her husband at his business, Raymond Crawford Timber Company.  Mrs. Crawford was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher, Church Treasurer, on the Fellowship Committee and had been a choir member.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Crawford of Union and Renee Vassey of Union; a niece, Mary Jo Warren and husband Donald of Monarch; three grandchildren, Paul Vassey, Nicholas Vassey and wife Amber, and Jennifer Crawford all of Union; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Vassey, Matilda Vassey, and R.C. Vassey; and a special niece, Soapy Crawford of Union.

The family would like to thank Katy Henderson and the nursing staff of ProMedica of Union for their love and care of Mrs. Crawford during her illness.

It was Mrs. Crawfords request that no services be held.
