Ralph D. Gregory

February 1, 2020 Mr. Ralph Dempsey Gregory, age 89, of 143 Toney Rd., Union, widower of Daisy Murphy Gregory, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at his home. Mr. Gregory was born in No Man's Land, NC, a son of the late Lewis and Rhoda Watson Gregory. He was a retired textile worker and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Gregory was also an avid fisherman. He was a retired veteran of the SC National Guard having served his county for 32 years. Surviving are a son, Randall Gregory and wife Darlene of the home; four daughters, Libby Davis and Brenda Little and husband Roy all of Jonesville and Judy Griffin and Sara Smith and husband Leciel all of Union; a sister, Rachel Gregory of Union; a special niece, Kim Roark of Jonesville and a special friend and caregiver, Dabriada Alman of Union. Mr. Gregory is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, February 3, 2020 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Randy Burgess. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at Jonesville Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Chad Cameron, Jason Cameron, Marshal Adams, Ken Adams, Roger Bailey, Joe Stepp and William Jolly. Mr. Gregory's National Guard friends are asked to serve as the honorary escort. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:45 PM Monday at the chapel prior to the services. The family will be at the home, 143 Toney Rd., Union, SC.
