Mr. Ralph Clifton Smith, age 83, husband of Barbara Gibbs Smith, of 531 Sugar Creek Rd., Buffalo, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Union Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was born in Union Co., September 16, 1937, a son of the late Hollis and Belva Messer Smith. He was retired from Milliken and Co. after 49 years and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a hardworking man who loved his family dearly and loved tending to his cows.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 61 years, Barbara, are a daughter, Suzy Smith; a son Michael Ralph Smith and wife Donna; grandchildren, Heather Smith Wilson and husband David and Phillip Michael Smith and wife Whitney and great-grandchildren, Claire Grace Wilson, Catherine Hope Wilson and Vaida Lynn Smith. Mr. Smith is also survived by a sister, Ruth Hancock and a brother, Leon Smith. He was predeceased by a sister, Dodie Smith and a brother, Sam Smith.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery conducted by Rev. Melvin Shelton. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service. Those in attendance are asked to follow social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 2153 Mt. Lebanon Rd., Buffalo, SC 29321.

The family will be at the home, 531 Sugar Creek Rd., Buffalo.
