Ramoth Austin O’Shields

Mrs. Ramoth Austin O'Shields, age 75, wife of Frank O'Shields, of 625 Old Pump Station Rd., Union, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at her home. Mrs. O'Shields was born in Union, SC on September 24, 1939 a daughter of the late Eddie and Jeanette Humphries Austin. She was a graduate of Union High School and owned and operated Ramoth's Beauty Shop. Mrs. O'Shields was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Scotty Hines and Alan Hines and wife Monica, all of Union; two daughters, Christy Griffin and husband Al and Laura Crisp and husband David all of Buffalo; eight grandchildren, Leslie McCoy and husband Zack, Farrah Wyatt, Alaina Hines, Kateline Palmer, Nick Bledsoe, Isac Bledsoe, Lilah Crisp and A.J. Griffin; and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Jan Hines, a sister, Marlene Austin, and a brother, Marion Austin. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at Brown's Creek Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. John Lee. Burial will follow at Brown's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Moore, Larry O'Shields, Harold Gregory, Nick Bledsoe, Isac Bledsoe, and Al Griffin. Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the services at the church.
