Randy Mitchum

Mr. Steven Randolph "Randy" Mitchum, age 68, husband of Debra Knox Mitchum of 115 Cedar St., Union, passed away, Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at his home.

Mr. Mitchum was born in Lexington, December 4, 1955, a son of the late Wallace Sanders and Clara Raven. He was a graduate of Lexington High School and was employed with Denton Gas (Superior Plus Propane). Mr. Mitchum was formerly employed with Wingo Tire. He was an avid sports fan of the Union County Yellow Jackets and the USC Gamecocks.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 40 years, Debra, is a son, Steven Rhinehart; two granddaughters, Asher Rhinehart of the home and Kelsey Tucker Garner and husband Adrian; and great grandchildren, Taylan Tucker, Christian Barber, Harmany Garner, and Aria Garner. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Billy Knox and wife Julie and Robert Knox and wife Dana, and nine nieces and ten nephews. He was predeceased by two nieces and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 9, 2024 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor Tim Dunn.  Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday evening at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Puckett, Chase Puckett, Mickey Wingo, Adrian Garner, Tim Dehart, Paul Wolfe and Sam Kelley.

The family will be at the home of Billy and Julie Knox, 110 Hidden Hill Rd., Union, SC, 29379.
