Ray T. Robinson

Mr. Ray Robinson, age 88, husband of Catherine Kirby Robinson of 879 East Main Street, Pacolet, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at his home. Mr. Robinson was born in Union, SC March 20, 1927, a son of the late A.R. Robinson and Bessie Pennington Robinson. He retired from Kohler & Company and was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon. Mr. Robinson was a Veteran of the US Army. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Kimberly Lyda and husband Gene; a son, Danny Robinson and wife Marsha; a grandson, Jonathan Robinson all of Pacolet; a granddaughter, Melanie Cunningham and husband Chuck; a great-grandson, Hayden Cunningham all of Rutherfordton, NC. Mr. Robinson was predeceased by three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, May 11, 2015 at Calvary Hill Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Bill Pickel. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Loving, Allen Mosley, Jerry Walsh, Chuck Cunningham, Vernon Kirby and Harold Gault. Visitation will be held 1:30-2:45 PM Monday in the church prior to the service. The family is at the home, 879 East Main Street, Pacolet.
