Reba Johnson Franklin

Mrs. Reba Johnson Franklin, age 74 of 726 Rice Avenue Ext., Apt 10B, Union, widow of Bobo Franklin, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Mrs. Franklin was born in Union, SC April 11, 1941, a daughter of the late William Johnson and Ada Carter Johnson. She was a 1959 graduate of Union High School and was of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. Franklin was previously employed with Walmart and Hardees. Surviving are two daughters: Anna "Lisa" Plemons and husband Jerry of Union and Sue Moss and husband Joey of Irmo; a son, Ben Franklin and wife Mona of Buffalo; two sisters: Barbara Black of Jonesville and Elizabeth Cooksey and husband James of PA; three brothers: Carl Carter and wife Agnes of Union, Sonny Johnson and wife Lucille of Jonesville and Charles Johnson of Columbia; grandchildren: Alexys and Jesse Plemons, Mary Beth and Sydney Moss and Corey and Ashley Register and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, January 10, 2016 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Cross Anchor, SC. Visitation will be held 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday in the chapel prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church, 640 Lakeside Drive, Union, SC 29379. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Anna "Lisa" Plemons, 125 Lake Drive, Union.
